An alternate Universe

Universe is a
rinsed out  sheet
hung to dry
on a clothes line
(scars of evolution
 apparent
on it’s well worn fabric)
soaring in the ocean’s sigh
then lull for a moment
to catch it’s breath

The firefly’s
 a star ,
a galaxy,
(even a super nova
if you wish )
crawling slowly
on the surface
hung out to dry
it’s feet stuck
(all six of them )
to the moist pull
of gravity
trace of that last rinse
foiling it’s try of flee

After an eternity
of  crawling
slowly
 to the edging
(the end
as it sees  )
the reality
hit’s
it’s insect mind
there’s
another infinite  stretch  of sheet
 on the other side
only  a fabric thick’s away
yet
another
whole new universe

PS:
Yes,  two post on the same mental picture . Because one was not sufficient....

  1. Your comment box is either crazy or supersmart, It says I already have commented. It understands that I made a comment to the Sinhala version of this. You have changed the scenery a bit.
